About Your Provider
Michael A. Asbury, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Associate specializing in dermatology, with particular interests in full-body skin exams, skin cancer evaluation and treatment, and surgical procedures. He is experienced in treating all skin types and managing a wide range of skin conditions, including—but not limited to—acne, psoriasis, eczema and undiagnosed skin rashes.
Born in South Carolina and raised in New York, Michael returned to South Carolina as a teenager. He completed his Physician Assistant training at the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating in 2004, and went on to complete a two-year fellowship with McClerklin Skin and Laser. Michael has been part of the Charlotte Dermatology team since 2009 and has over 20 years of experience in practice. He is known for his strong focus on listening and patient-centered care.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his family. He also loves reading, practicing Tai Chi martial arts, and has a background in music production. His favorite activities include horseback riding, kayaking, shooting sports, golfing and gardening.
