What to expect

During CoolGlide laser vein treatment, a handheld device delivers targeted laser energy to the affected blood vessels, causing them to coagulate and gradually be absorbed by the body. You may feel a mild stinging or warming sensation as the laser pulses, but most patients find the treatment very tolerable. After the procedure, the treated veins may appear slightly reddened or bruised, but these side effects typically fade within a few days as your skin heals.
