What is it?
Thinning eyelashes can occur gradually over time or suddenly, leading to noticeably fewer, shorter, or finer lashes. This condition may result from aging, hormonal changes, certain medical conditions, nutritional deficiencies, or even frequent use of cosmetics like mascara or eyelash extensions. In some cases, thinning lashes could signal an underlying issue such as alopecia, thyroid disorders or other health concerns.
If you’re noticing a change in your lashes, our board-certified dermatologists can help identify the cause and recommend effective treatment options to restore fuller, healthier-looking lashes.
How is it treated?
If there are no underlying health conditions causing your thinning eyelashes, our team often recommends Latisse® as an effective treatment option. Latisse is FDA-approved to help grow longer, fuller, and darker lashes. Applied once daily to the upper lash line, you can expect to see initial results in about 4 weeks, with full results around 16 weeks. Continued use is needed to maintain your results.
