About Your Provider
Mary Crawford Tanner, PA-C is a skilled and compassionate physician assistant at Charlotte Dermatology, where she has been providing care since August 2023. Born in Greenville, SC and raised in Goldsboro, NC, Mary Crawford earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wake Forest University before completing her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Pfeiffer University. She specializes in both general and surgical dermatology and regularly assists Dr. El-Gamal with Mohs surgery. Her clinical interests include diagnosing and treating skin cancer, cysts, lipomas, acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. While her primary practice location is our 7th Street office, you may also see her at other locations from time to time as she supports our team across the area.
An active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the Metrolina Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA), Mary Crawford stays involved in ongoing education and professional development. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and enjoys helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin.
Outside of work, Mary Crawford enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. She loves hiking, exercising, traveling, reading, and being with her family and friends. Her friendly, approachable nature and passion for dermatology make her a valued part of the Charlotte Dermatology team.
